INDIVIDUALS (teens+)

Being in a room with Megan, clients have expressed feeling the care, passion, and strong desire to help.  Megan has been able to work collaboratively with many individuals facing a wide-range of challenges.  Such topics processed in therapy include: relationship issues, substance use, grief, anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma, sexual identity, chronic pain, adoption, pregnancy, postpartum, work/life balance, and many more.  She feels it is of utmost importance that each client is provided with a safe, non-judgmental, confidential environment to process the emotions that accompany such difficult topics.  Megan validates clients’ experiences recognizing each situation and person as unique, and is thoughtful in her strength-based, solution-focused approach.

Additionally, with teens in particular, Megan feels strongly about therapy being a team approach. In addition to the therapeutic relationship, Megan finds it important and necessary to have collateral sessions with the parents to get their insights, as well as provide helpful tools. Based on the teen client’s situation, Megan may invite the parents to participate in sessions so as to strengthen the support system for the teen.
